Marie Chorpita

Marie is from Los Angeles and a freshman at University of California, Berkeley. Last year, she and two of her classmates reinstated her school’s FIRST® Tech Challenge robotics team. Past year is her second year as both captain of the team and president of her school’s Gender and Sexuality Alliance club. She first learned to code with Scratch when she was in second grade, and she loved it immediately. Since then, she has taken multiple coding classes both in and out of school, and she plans to major in computer science. Marie is also on the varsity swim team, and she volunteers with the Los Angeles Rabbit Foundation.
